OpenCode CLI এবং desktop একই coding-agent product-এর client। Terminal interface keyboard-driven কাজ ও script-এর জন্য উপযোগী। Desktop application একটি graphical workspace দেয়। গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তুলনায় প্রতিটি client-এর পেছনের server, project, provider এবং configuration অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
Backend শনাক্ত করার পর interface বেছে নিন। দুটি OpenCode window একই server বা session ব্যবহার করবে এমন নিশ্চয়তা নেই। ভিন্ন server-এ যুক্ত desktop application একটি ভিন্ন execution environment, model label পরিচিত দেখালেও।

- Terminal কাজের জন্য CLI ব্যবহার করুন এবং non-interactive command চালান।
- Graphical workspace-এর জন্য desktop ব্যবহার করুন, তবে নির্বাচিত server পরীক্ষা করুন।

Desktop default-ভাবে local server চালু করে।
Troubleshooting guide
তার opencode-cli sidecar এবং configured server URL-এ connect করার option বর্ণনা করে। Client-এর আচরণ আলাদা হলে prompt বদলানোর আগে connection পরীক্ষা করুন।

Server location inference location নয়। আপনার computer-এ থাকা agent server-ও configured hosted model-এ request পাঠাতে পারে। বিপরীতে compatible local inference service নিজের model ও resource requirement-সহ আলাদা process।
Official server reference opencode serve-এর default hostname হিসেবে 127.0.0.1 দেখায়। Local trial-এর সময় service loopback-এ রাখুন:

Authentication, firewall rules এবং server-এর access করা repository path নির্ধারণ করার পরেই wider bind address ব্যবহার করুন।

Terminal Interaction ও Automation
opencode
Default command terminal UI খোলে। CLI reference programmatic command-ও নথিভুক্ত করে। Intended repository-তে শুরু করুন এবং edit চাওয়ার আগে selected agent ও model নিশ্চিত করুন।
opencode run "Identify this project's test command. Do not modify files."
Bounded non-interactive request-এর জন্য opencode run ব্যবহার করুন। Appropriate permission policy আলাদাভাবে স্থির করুন। No-change prompt useful direction দেয়, কিন্তু filesystem isolation enforce করে না।
Shell composition গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হলে এই workflow বেছে নিন। Repeatable wrapper-এ request, exit status, relevant output এবং changed files capture করা উচিত। Failure handling স্পষ্ট রাখুন। Empty diff ও success message-এর ব্যাখ্যা verified fix-এর থেকে আলাদা।
Desktop Setup ও Compatibility
উদ্দিষ্ট release-এর জন্য official download page ব্যবহার করুন। OpenCode download page terminal ও desktop package তালিকাভুক্ত করে। এই পরীক্ষায় download page v2 terminal package প্রচার করে, আর general documentation-এ পুরনো installation example-ও আছে। Exact client ও backend version লিখে রাখুন, আলাদা release track-এর instruction মেশাবেন না।
ছোট real task দিয়ে desktop interaction মূল্যায়ন করুন। Project খুলুন, server নিশ্চিত করুন, bounded request পাঠান, changed file পরীক্ষা করুন এবং correction চান। Agent-এর কাজ বুঝতে কত effort লাগে তা বিচার করুন। Graphical client আপনার editor ও debugger-এর সম্পূর্ণ replacement ধরে নেবেন না।

Configuration ও Model Access
OpenCode একাধিক location থেকে configuration merge করে। Configuration reference precedence ও non-conflicting setting সংরক্ষণ ব্যাখ্যা করে। শুধু project file নয়, effective model, agent এবং permission তুলনা করুন।
Provider access execution setup-এর অংশ। Provider guide supported service ও compatible endpoint বর্ণনা করে। Credential, endpoint reachability এবং model tool support গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। অন্য স্থানে চলা server-এর provider ও repository-তে নিজস্ব valid access দরকার।
Client মোট inference cost নির্ধারণ করে না। Matching model ও task-এ billed usage তুলনা করুন। Configuration error-এর কারণে repeated run হিসাব করুন। Local inference ব্যবহার করলে system memory, model format, context size ও runtime setting record করুন। Hosted computation-এর বিনামূল্যের replacement হিসেবে desktop download দেখাবেন না।
Session ও নিরাপদ Switching
ধরে না নিয়ে continuity যাচাই করুন। Client বদলানোর আগে active project ও session record করুন। Destination intended server-এ connect করছে এবং intended history দেখাচ্ছে কি না পরীক্ষা করুন। New session শুরু করলে goal, completed work ও remaining check-সহ concise handover দিন।
একটি checkout-এ concurrent edit এড়িয়ে চলুন। ভিন্ন plan-এর দুটি conversation একই directory target করলে একই file share করে। Independent experiment-এর জন্য separate worktree বা checkout ব্যবহার করুন। Change integrate করার আগে review করুন।

এই record handover inspectable করে। Interface issue, missing instruction অথবা environment mismatch আলাদা করতেও সাহায্য করে। Credential record-এ রাখবেন না।
Server Access ও Permissions
Agent server-কে execution service হিসেবে বিবেচনা করুন। Server documentation OPENCODE_SERVER_PASSWORD দিয়ে optional authentication বর্ণনা করে। Machine-to-machine connection-এর আগে access ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে configure করুন। Reachable agent server harmless static website নয়।
Tool permission আলাদাভাবে review করুন। Permission guide allow, ask এবং deny behavior সংজ্ঞায়িত করে। Interface trial-এ একই policy প্রয়োগ করুন। কম prompt দেখানো client-কে effective rule পরীক্ষা না করে safer বা more capable মনে করবেন না।
Harmless policy test দিয়ে শুরু করুন। Disposable project-এ allowed file inspection এবং prohibited edit request করুন। Observed behavior যাচাই করে bounded implementation-এ যান। এতে permission assumption testable হয়।
